This is what happens when a good friend want to slip by on a sleepy Saturday afternoon to grab a new headshot. We start playing those crazy theatre games . . . I think it’s a Delsarte thang . . . . I’d call out a bizarre situation and Steve would rock a facial expression. I was laughing so hard by the end I couldn’t even hold my camera up.
Have I mentioned that I love my life??? Special shout out to my MIT guru, James Hanson, for giving me the terminator morph thing. Nice to have brainiac friends.

Bethany is the youngest of an entire family of actors and dancers. She whirls and twirls for hours and hours each week with Savage Dance Company, yet she has that carefree joy in her that shows she’s unaffected by her busy life. She hopped into the car from a three hour dance rehearsal Saturday morning, threw on a tee shirt, jumped up on a mossy log, and gave me this shot like a big fat birthday present. First click. How’s that for a bright future??

With a tribe full of pre-teen in my house I’ve become pretty familiar with everything Disney. Actually, they should hire me as a casting director because I can spot that special “thing” from miles away.
Drew Blue is the whole package. He’s a student at Baltimore School for the Arts, a premiere pre-professional training academy for artists. He’s absorbing the same positive creative energy that Jada, Tupac and Christian Siriano drank in their day.
Every chance I got during our photo shoot I had Drew talking about his hopes and dreams. New York. Los Angeles. He’s serious. He’s training his craft and I believe he’ll make it happen. Sweet bliss to be sixteen and have the whole world before you.

Ke’an Black. Baltimore Actor. Remember this face.

I met Ke’an several years ago. I first saw him as “Lockwood” in Wuthering Heights. The next year I saw Ke’an portray Ghanian King Prempeh in Upon His Back He Carries Them. No doubt about it, Ke’an has some serious acting chops. But what really impresses me about Ke’an is his gracious spirit. I have watched him watch theatre. He is kind, open to the experience and the first guy laughing and applauding. It speaks volumes about his character.
Ke’an has a bright future. I can’t wait to see what happens . . .
