My Passion

As a young girl I dreamed of being on Broadway.

I planned to move to New York with a girlfriend in my early 20's.

{I got a communications degree and became a high school English teacher instead.}

I met an amazing stage director and musician and fell head over heels.

He asked me to marry him on our second date. I was 26.

We had beautiful babies. Lots and lots of beautiful babies.

My  girlfriend asked me, "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?"

Capture beauty through my lens.

Life is precious. I'm only guarenteed this moment. And I'd rather fail at something I LOVE than succeed at something I could take or leave. Life in a nutshell.

I know who I am. I know whose I am. And His plans for me are far greater than I could ask or imagine.

I. love. life.

Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to visit my former blog "through the lens.

Megan. Liam. Linganore Berrywine Plantation. {Sneak Peak}

bowen-1-2

Nothin’ but blue skies for the wedding of Megan and Liam at Linganore Berrywine Plantation on Sunday afternoon.

Megan and Liam have that storybook kind of passion. It’s a great love story that includes a Wilco concert, Vonnegut, baseball and cafeteria duty.

She’s a high school English teacher. He’s a baseball coach at St. Mary’s College.

I’ve known Megan since she was eight . . . she and Liam and  life are getting along quite nicely.

Can’t wait to show you the rest of the wedding. Amazing details. Amazing families. Amazing Love.

Sharon Beaver - Good Morning Kathy, I am sending much love your way! We were so excited to reconnect with you and knew you had to be our photographer. And what a great decision! You have such a warm and gentle way about you. Everyone loved you (especially the boys in the wedding party!) and the photos just take our breath away. We loved it all, but the ceremony was especially moving, the way Megan and Liam looked at each other, the love radiating from them, her veil blowing in the breeze, oh my goodness, it was magical. And we're so excited that you were there to capture it all. We knew we were going to be in good hands and we were right. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! And please send our love to Deb as well-you were a great team. Can't wait to see the rest of the photos. Until then, much love! SharonOctober 6, 2009 - 10:22 am
